Paramount Pictures has released the new trailer for director Martin Scorcese’s Shutter Island, opening in theaters on October 2nd. Based on the novel by Dennis Lehane, the psychological thriller stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams, Patricia Clarkson and Max von Sydow.
The film is the story of two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels (DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Ruffalo), who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the cost of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island’s fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane.
