First there was Julie Newmar, then Eartha Kitt and Lee Meriwether. Both Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry had their turns and now Oscar-nominated Anne Hathaway is next in line to play Catwoman. The antihero has been one of Batman’s most enduring love interests in the comic book series.
Here are the first official production stills of Hathaway dressed as Catwoman for Christopher Nolan’s third Batman film.
In the image the actress has her hair tied back in a ponytail, sports black goggles and a skintight black jumpsuit while riding what appears to be the Batpod.
The Dark Knight Rises will be released on July 20, 2012.
I actually like her costume, it’s very .. what’s the word “tactical” she is supposed to be a thief anyways so skin tight latex (ex: catwoman in previous movies) wouldn’t be ideal. I hope this movie can stand up to all the hype.
I know there is another (reboot) of the movie planned after this.
