Breaking Bad Action Figures: Sculptor Trevor Grove Gives Walter White Figures To Vince Gilligan

Earlier this year, sculptor and illustrator Trevor Grove hand-sculpted three custom 12-inch figurines of Walter White from Breaking Bad as a labor of love.

Grove eventually gifted the realistic figures to “Breaking Bad” creator Vince Gilligan.

“I love the show. Watching it week to week, I thought to myself, ‘I should do a figure with him. That’d be so cool,’” Grove told The Huffington Post.

So the 25-year-old, who is a sculptor for Sideshow Collectibles, decided to take matters — quite literally — into his own hands.

Apple CEO Tim Cook “Sorry” For iOS6 Maps, Suggests Alternative Apps

A letter from Apple CEO Tim Cook posted on Apple’s website today apologizes for the much-maligned launch of iOS 6 Maps:

To our customers,

At Apple, we strive to make world-class products that deliver the best experience possible to our customers. With the launch of our new Maps last week, we fell short on this commitment. We are extremely sorry for the frustration this has caused our customers and we are doing everything we can to make Maps better.

We launched Maps initially with the first version of iOS. As time progressed, we wanted to provide our customers with even better Maps including features such as turn-by-turn directions, voice integration, Flyover and vector-based maps. In order to do this, we had to create a new version of Maps from the ground up.

There are already more than 100 million iOS devices using the new Apple Maps, with more and more joining us every day. In just over a week, iOS users with the new Maps have already searched for nearly half a billion locations. The more our customers use our Maps the better it will get and we greatly appreciate all of the feedback we have received from you.

While we’re improving Maps, you can try alternatives by downloading map apps from the App Store like Bing, MapQuest and Waze, or use Google or Nokia maps by going to their websites and creating an icon on your home screen to their web app.

Everything we do at Apple is aimed at making our products the best in the world. We know that you expect that from us, and we will keep working non-stop until Maps lives up to the same incredibly high standard.

Tim Cook
Apple’s CEO

The letter is currently at the bottom of’s front page, as “A letter to our customers regarding Maps.”

From The Makers of Angry Birds, Bad Piggies Now Available To Download

Bad Piggies, a sequel to Angry Birds starring the game’s green pigs, was released today on iOS, Android, and Mac.

Bad Piggies does away with the franchise’s familiar slingshot used to launch birds in favor of all-new mechanics.

“There’s a lot of empathy towards the lovable enemies from the Angry Birds games, and we’ve been constantly asked: what about the pigs’ side of the story?” said Rovio CEO Mikael Hed said in a press release. “Bad Piggies gives you the chance to play as the second-most-loved characters in the Angry Birds universe, and explore this rich world through their green eyes.”

In Bad Piggies you’ll use blocks with various functions (an engine, a rotor, wheels, etc.) to build vehicles to “launch” your piggies. Of course there will be a variety of landscape challenges as your piggies must reach a goal with cargo intact.
