New MagicSliders Turn Your MagicBand Into A Watch

NPM758961

One of the more popularly requested accessories for MagicBands at Walt Disney World Resort is a watch. There will be two MagicSlider timepieces coming this summer – a Minnie Mouse analog timepiece and one with a digital display. Both will be available at Disney World!

MagicBands are colorful, waterproof wristbands that you can quickly and easily touch to a sensor called a touch point. Cards work in a similar fashion, but physically resemble a plastic credit card or driver’s license. Both MagicBands and cards allow you to travel lighter throughout your vacation.

You can use your card or MagicBand to:

-Unlock the door of your Disney Resort hotel room.
-Enter theme and water parks (with valid admission).
-Check in at FastPass+ entrances.
-Connect Disney PhotoPass images to your account.
– Charge food and merchandise purchases to your Disney Resort hotel room (only available during your hotel stay).

Star Wars – D-Tech Me experience will return this year to Star Wars Weekends at Disney World with a few new options for guests. This year, the experience will be located inside Darth’s Mall, located in Soundstage 1 between Studio Backlot Tour and Toy Story Midway Mania.

For those unfamiliar with Star Wars – D-Tech Me, this 10-minute experience uses the world’s highest-resolution, single-shot 3D face scanner created by our Imagineering scientists with Disney Research labs. The captured image is later sent to a high resolution 3D printer to create the figurine.

There are both male and female options offered for X-Wing pilot, Carbon-Freeze Me and Stormtrooper figurines. For children, Alderaan Princess and Carbon-Freeze Me figurines will be available in more youthful appearances.
