The long-awaited HTC Dream, the first commercial handset running Google’s Android operating system, will be coming to T-Mobile as the G1. Featuring a 3-inch touchscreen, internet navigation buttons and a full QWERTY keypad, the smartphone market has finally broken free of Symbian, Windows Mobile and Apple.
The phone will feature Google Maps, GPS, a 1GB MicroSD card preinstalled, Android Market (similar to iPhone’s mobile App Store), Amazon MP3 Store, You Tube and a camera.
Set to launch on October 22nd for $179 on T-Mobile in the US on a two-year contract.
