A creative ‘live’ Banned Book Display can be seen at the Twin Hickory Public Library in Glen Allen, Virginia. Volunteer readers sit in the display and read banned and challenged books to educate onlookers about Banned Book Week.
The display has received a considerable amount of media attention. Perhaps other libraries and bookstores will duplicate this admirable reminder that Americans should not take this precious democratic freedom for granted.
That’s so cool! That library is only about 10 minutes from my house, but I haven’t been this week. Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful! Creative and yet makes a really good point. Thanks for sharing!
