Peanut Butter Slices…Finally

I used to think that this product was the epitome of laziness.  By combining peanut butter and jelly in a single jar how much time does it really save? Opening two separate jars…who needs that hassle?

Then came Uncrustables, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich without the crusts found in the supermarket frozen food section that thaws out by lunch.

But now, just when I thought we as a society had reached the pinacle of PB&J technology another helpful timesaver has appeared on grocery store shelves which rids us all of the sheer drudgery of actually spreading the peanut butter with a knife.

P.B. Slices also known as “The Funner Peanut Butter” announced in their press release that, “The one-ounce slice makes it more substantial and is easier to remove from its plastic covering for use in snacks and recipes.”

I miss the good old days…

  1. Carleton Place Public Library says:

Wow…are we really that pressed for time these days that we can’t even put peanut butter on a slice of bread??

  2. If you don’t have the time to fix a peanut butter sandwich, then your priorities are all out of whack.

It can’t be the best PB. After all, creamy peanut butter hangs together, but not THAT well. makes me wonder what sort of stuff they had to mix in.

On the other hand, with the packaging, you get a package of American cheese slices, carefully open, fill with PB Slices, seal up … instant practical joke!
