SHAG Haunted Mansion Art and Disneyland Events

California retro artist Shag has been doing a bit of work with Disneyland lately. Back in 2003 he created art and merchandise to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Enchanted Tiki Room; for Disneyland’s 50th anniversary in 2005 he created more art and merchandise. In August of 2009, the park will be hosting a new Shag event commemorating the 40th anniversary of what might be the park’s best attraction, the Haunted Mansion. The artist has created 13 new pieces depicting different parts of the attraction and they are fantastic.

A range of merchandise will be created based on the art and Shag will be signing prints on Sunday, August 9th at the park. Buyers, however, will get the first opportunity to buy the prints at a cocktail party the evening of the 8th where Shag will be the guest of honor.

More information about the events can be found HERE.

  1. The Haunted Mansion is an icon of American culture like baseball and apple pie. It reaches across generations and to new fans every day. It’s the ultimate dark ride.
