U2 will perform an unprecedented five nights in a row on the “Late Show with David Letterman” on March 2-6, the release week of its next Interscope album, “No Line on The Horizon.”
The last time U2 performed on the show was in 2001; prior to that Bono and Larry Mullen Jr. were interviewed by Letterman in 1997.
U2 has already started making media appearances in support of “Horizon,” due March 3. The band played lead single “Get on Your Boots” at the Grammys on Sunday.
I am sad to say that I do not care for the new single! I have been a huge fan since the 80’s and I hope that the rest of the album is better.
I agree. I don’t hear any of their usual emotion or edginess on the new single…but I’m sure the album as a whole will win me over!
Five days in a row? Yeesh. They should also get Bono to remind us to switch to digital television.
The more I listen to the single I like it more. I have heard that there are other songs on the album that rank up with Sunday bloody sunday, and where the streets have no name. Reviews of this album compare it to the Joshua Tree. Wow, that is big talk!!!
