The super hero market during the summer months is a crowded one, but Warner Brothers is looking to change all of that by announcing that Green Lantern will be lighting up Christmas trees on December 17th, 2010. Obviously a move meant to make sure it’s the only big gun super hero film for the holiday season since Iron Man 2, Green Hornet and Thor are going to be shown during the summer of 2010.
The second half and last of the Harry Potter movies will be released on July 15, 2011, the same weekend of The Avengers. Sherlock Holmes (starring Robert Downey Jr.) will open December 25th, 2009 and be in direct competition with Disney’s Princess and the Frog, Dwayne Johnson’s Tooth Fairy movie, Alvin and the Chipmunks sequel and an untitled Nancy Meyers comedy.
Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier’s new film, a remake of the classic Clash of the Titans, will come out in March. March 26th, 2010 to be exact.
Meanwhile, Zack’s latest project after Watchmen is Suckerpunch, coming out in theaters on October 8th, 2010.
Jonah Hex will shoot into theaters on August 6th, 2010.
And Christopher Nolan’s follow up to The Dark Knight, Inception, will come out in theaters on July 16th 2010.
