Christian Faur’s Crayon Art

We all colored with crayons as children, but Christian Faur is taking a different approach to the medium. He uses hundreds of thousands of individual crayons to produce a single, pixelated image. Faur has assembled over one hundred thousand hand cast crayons of differing colors and shades to produce a unique pixelated expression that the artist hopes balances the qualities of both photography and sculpture.
