The iVictrola

The iVictrola combines cutting edge technology of the early 20th century with the 21st century. Conceived by the New York City designer Matt Richmond, he took his love for vintage turntables one step further.

To use, simply place the phone in the dock of the walnut base and turn on your favorite tunes. The sound is carried from a hole in the base, amplified by the metal Magnavox horn to fill the room. There are no electronics, just old-fashioned acoustics.

Design Within Reach advertised a limited edition model for $425 which sold out immediately. Matt has a web site to contact him directly.
