I recently purchased the latest 3g iPad along with a protective case. The first time that I went to dock my iPad into the Apple charging stand and keyboard dock, I was disappointed to find that it no longer fit. The case made my iPad too big and bulky to fit into the stand properly.
My quest began to find an iPad case that would integrate protection with style and function. I found my answer in the Speck CandyShell Case for the iPad ($49.95). The case combines a soft rubbery interior that cradles the iPad while the brightly colored exterior has a hard thin protective outer shell. The exterior also has a raised rubberized bezel and button covers that allow complete access to all of the function buttons on the iPad. The best part of the CandyShell is the flip-back panel that allows the iPad to be docked while maintaining its protective cover.
The CandyShell design is also available for the iPhone 3g & 3gs ($34.95). The case is easy to put on or take off. It allows full access to the touch-sensitive screen. There is also a cutout for the camera, bottom plug, switches, and the buttons are covered by a soft rubbery material that allow easy access to the function buttons.
Both cases are attractive, functional, and feel great in your hands. The case for the iPhone comes in a multitude of fantastic colors while the iPad case comes in black and purple. Keep your iPad and iPhone looking great with a fun and practical CandyShell case. (Reviewed by Meredith Fire-Hess)
