Sony 360-Degree Autostereoscopic Display Prototype

Later this month, and for the first time in the United States this prototype will be showcased at SIGGRAPH 2010 at the Los Angeles Convention Center July 25-29.

Sony states that the display will allow 360 degree viewing of the 3D image inside without the need for glasses.

While certainly home use would be an exciting application for this technology, the first application mentioned by Sony is in advertising.
