Best Buy Launches Video Game Trade-in Service

Best Buy is looking to cash in on the onslaught of new video game titles that will be released over the coming months by expanding its game trade-in service to over 600 of its stores.

The company already has a trade-in program in place on its website, but is betting that customers will take to being able to trade their old games at an actual store in exchange for a Best Buy gift card that can be used right away.

Games can be traded in at the customer service counter, with certain locations having dedicated trade-in desks. And to sweeten the deal, Best Buy says, “customers who trade in their games beginning this Sunday, August 29, will receive an additional $20 Best Buy Gift Card on top of the trade-in value on more than 100 popular titles.”
