Sony officially unveiled the Xperia Play ($TBA). The Xperia Play will be the first PlayStation certified device. It will come preloaded with a “legendary PlayStation title”, and look for around 50 PlayStation titles to be available at time of launch. It is an Android smartphone, running Android 2.3. Features include a 854×480 pixel capacitive multi-touch TFT LCD display, 5.5 hours of gaming time on a single charge and a 5.1MP flash assisted digital camera. The device is powered by 1 GHz Scorpion ARMv7 single-core CPU, 512MB of RAM and comes with an 8GB microSD card. It’s launching in March, and will be available on Verizon in “early spring”.
