The new short film “A Strat is Born” takes you on a high-speed ride through the creation of a Fender Stratocaster guitar at Fender’s U.S. manufacturing facility in Corona, California, showing you every step from bare wood to onstage and set to a pulse-pounding soundtrack by Wayne Kramer.
The instrument has been produced continuously since it was introduced in 1954, and has since become a mainstay of players across all genres of music for its timeless design and distinctive sound. Legends such as Hendrix, Gilmour, Clapton and Jeff beck have solidified the Stratocaster as not just an instrument, but also a symbol of rock and roll itself.
