Bose Unveils SIE2 & SIE2i Sport Headphones

Today Bose introduced the SIE2 and SIE2i sport headphones, the first Bose in-ear headphones specifically engineered for exercise. For added convenience, an exclusive Reebok fitness armband holds a mobile phone or digital music player securely in place and is included with both models.

The Bose SIE2 sport headphones ($119.95) can be used with most music players and the SIE2i sport headphones ($149.95) are designed exclusively for listening to music and taking calls from select Apple devices, including an iPhone and iPod. The SIE2i in-line remote and microphone provides easy access to certain Apple phone voice commands and lets owners adjust volume and navigate through stored music.

The SIE2 and SIE2i headphones feature exclusive Bose TriPort acoustic technology, ensuring audio is reproduced with full, balanced sound.

The SIE2 and SIE2i headphones feature durable cable construction for strength, flexibility and the rigors of daily use. They also have acoustic ports positioned to resist sweat and water and are covered with a hydrophobic cloth to keep moisture out while letting sound pass through. And the in-line remote and microphone included with the SIE2i headphones has watertight button housings and a hydrophobic acoustic windscreen to reduce the effects of wind noise and moisture.

For comfort and stability, the SIE2 and SIE2i headphones include proprietary Bose StayHear tips (in small, medium and large) that conform securely and comfortably to the ear’s shape, reducing irritating pressure points and the need for continuous adjustments. The open design of the ear tips allows owners to listen to music at moderate listening volumes while remaining aware of their surroundings — an essential feature for anyone who exercises outdoors.

Bose collaborated with Reebok to develop the exclusive fitness armband; it holds a mobile phone or digital music player securely in place during exercise, and is constructed with a breathable fabric that contours to the body without restricting movement. Leveraging Reebok’s expertise in athletic apparel, the armband’s hook-and-loop tab is adjustable for fit, and a clear, protective window allows touch-control access to compatible devices. Along with the headphone’s shorter, rugged cable, the armband was built to stay out-of-the-way — so the runner, cyclist or weight-trainer can focus on their workout, without interference from the music source or cord. And if a longer cord is needed — for a treadmill or connection to another source — an extension cable is included. The new models come in orange and green colors.

Amazing Spider-Man #700 Variant Cover By Mr. Garcin

Amazing Spider-Man #700 will be released in December and features a collage art cover by a French artist Mr. Garcin.

Editor Steve Wacker Wacker describes how the cover came to be:

“What happened was sort of a weird thing,” said Wacker. “I was on the train in the morning checking out other comic sites and someone had posted this collage of cool Spidey art. I saw it, and I loved it, finally got to my office and like 75 people had emailed me asking if I’d seen this.”

Wacker said Mr. Garcin has a whole bunch of comic book-inspired collages for Marvel, including a Daredevil one, coming up.

The Second Official Trailer For The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

New Line Cinema has revealed the new trailer for Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, opening in 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters on December 14. You can watch the trailer below.

The film follows title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior Thorin Oakenshield. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers. Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain, first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever… Gollum. Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths of guile and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum’s “precious” ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities… A simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know.
