This Custom Batcave Is Made of 20,000 LEGO Bricks

First unveiled at Emerald City Comicon earlier this year, this light-up Batcave diorama by Carlyle Livingston II and Wayne Hussey includes the Batmobile, Batboat, Batcopter, Batwing, Batplane and a few Batcycles.

The highly detailed custom model includes four motors to operate a variety of features such as a turntable for the Batmobile, a rotating costume/weapons wall and the Batplane’s lift.

Weighing in at more than 1100 pounds and utilizing 20,000 LEGO pieces, the design took 800 hours over twelve weeks to build.

Check out Carlyle’s photoset on Flickr for lots more pictures including work-in-progress photos.
