Who Framed Roger Rabbit? will be released on Blu-ray On March 12, 2013 to mark its 25th anniversary.
Directed by Robert Zemeckis, the 1988 hit blends live action and animation to tell a comedy noir story where cartoon characters live alongside real people.
Bob Hoskins stars as private detective Eddie Valiant, while Charles Fleischer provides the voice of the titular bunny. Kathleen Turner and Christopher Lloyd also feature among the film’s cast.
It’s 1947 Hollywood and Eddie Valiant, a down-on-his-luck detective, is hired to find proof that Marvin Acme, gag factory mogul and owner of Toontown, is playing hanky-panky with femme fatale Jessica Rabbit, wife of Maroon Cartoon superstar, Roger Rabbit. When Acme is found murdered, all fingers point to Roger, and the sinister, power-hungry Judge Doom (Christopher Lloyd) is on a mission to bring Roger to justice. Roger begs the Toon-hating Valiant to find the real evildoer and the plot thickens as Eddie uncovers scandal after scandal and realizes the very existence of Toontown is at stake!
The Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 soundtrack and 3 digitally restored Roger Rabbit Shorts.
I have a mind to cosplay Jessica Rabbit. What a gal!
