Entertainment Weekly’s website has launched CapeTown, a new site dedicated to Hollywood and “Comic-Con culture” — a place for all things superhero, sci-fi, fantasy and horror on film, TV, gaming, comic and novel platforms. Geoff Boucher, who joined EW after twenty years at the LA Times, will head CapeTown.
This week the site will showcase interviews with Robert Downey Jr. (“Iron Man 3”), Brad Pitt (“World War Z”) and DC Comics writer Scott Snyder (on the Joker).
Also in the works for CapeTown is a film and TV festival in collaboration with the American Cinematheque and the Egyptian Theater.
