What Is The Django Unchained–Pulp Fiction Connection?

Most Quentin Tarantino’s fans are aware of the links between his films that form what I like to call the “Tarantinoverse”.

As an example Lee Donowitz (Saul Rubinek) from True Romance is the son of Inglourious Basterds’ Donny “the Bear Jew” Donowitz (Eli Roth).

Vic Vega (Michael Madsen) in Reservoir Dogs is the brother of Vincent Vega (John Travolta) in Pulp Fiction.

One of the main characters in True Romance is a woman called Alabama — the same Alabama Mr. White from Pulp Fiction mentions as a former partner in Reservoir Dogs.

Now there is another connection in Tarantino’s latest film, Django Unchained.

It’s so small that Tarantino himself forgot about it in the below interview. We’re lucky we have Reddit for these things, because one person found the connection. Pulp Fiction’s Captain Koons (Christopher Walken) is apparently a descendant of Crazy Craig Koons, a member of the Smitty Bacall gang.
