The motion picture adaptation of Cell is officially moving forward. Produced by Cargo Entertainment, the film will star John Cusack (1408) with Tod Williams (Paranormal Activity 2) directing.
The final screenplay for Cell was written by Stephen King and production is scheduled to commence in May.
The story centers on Clayton Riddle (John Cusack), a graphic artist in Boston who is struggling to find his wife and son after a deadly pulse was sent through every cell phone. Anyone who was using their phone at the time of the pulse’s transmission is transformed into a psychotic killer.
