The Goonies is one of the most iconic movies of the 1980’s. It gave us adventure, pirates, mobsters, the lovable Sloth and of course, the Truffle Shuffle! It was an action packed movie told through the eyes of children.
In 2015, the Goonies will be 30 years old, so what better time than now to start a Cuusoo campaign to reignite Lego’s interest in this franchise in time for the celebration? With the success of the Back to the Future set and Ghostbusters, there’s definitely enough interest in retro movies from the 80’s.
LEGO builder extraordinaire, Lyonsbood has submitted two Goonies 30th Anniversary LEGO sets as part of the Cuusoo program. The program allows users to submit ideas for LEGO products to be turned into potential sets available commercially, with the original designer receiving 1% of the royalties.
Lyonsbood has created 2 interconnectable sets, Fratelli Fracas and Skeleton Scare along with the Goonie’s cast of characters in minifig form!
