Jayson Weidel To Hide Original Disney Themed Artwork At Disneyland For Park Attendees To Find

Jayson Weidel has a huge surprise in store for anyone attending Disneyland in Anaheim, California this weekend (Either Friday May 2, 2014 or Saturday May 3, 2014). The popular artist is going to hide Disney themed original art in specially marked envelopes throughout the park and tweet clues about their whereabouts.

Jayson has created a bunch of awesome sketches such as Lilo and Stitch, Olaf, Donald Duck, Winnie The Pooh, Goofy and more for the seekers to find. Weidel will take a photo of the general area or landmark and provide a hint as to where the sketch is located.

All of these illustrations are on high end watercolor paper. The images measure roughly 8” x 6” and are drawn in non-photo blue and mechanical pencil. The sketches are all signed and stamped along with instructions on how to play the game (for those who find them with out knowing and want to find more).

Interested people online or in the park can follow Jayson on twitter at planet_pulp or follow the hashtags #Disneyland, #Disney and #HiddenMickey.

Once a drawing is located Jayson simply requests that the lucky recipient tweet him back with a reply as to what drawing they located and to take a photo with them and the drawing so that Weidel can re-tweet the image.

I love the idea of this and hope that the experiment is a huge success! Who doesn’t like searching for buried treasure especially when the booty is beautiful original art. Hats off (Mouse Ears) to Jayson for this clever, fun and innovative experience!
