In the tradition of the Jaws 19 trailer seen last week, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has released the “official” commercial for the Hoverboard by a (fictitious) company called Hover Master. Check out the fake ad in all its glory below!
The minute-long commercial features a dread-rockin’, power laces-wearin’, in-your-face skater dude getting you psyched to glide across air with no friction on your very own pink Hoverboard just like Marty McFly and Doc Brown in the Back to the Future Trilogy! Incidentally, that very trilogy becomes available in a new anniversary edition Blu-ray set on October 21, 2015… a very significant date in the history of Hill Valley!
This is all part of the wave of festivities to commemorate the exact date in which McFly (Michael J. Fox) went to the “future” in the second film, including actual bottles of Pepsi Perfect and, yes, a real functioning hoverboard that Lexus built and is currently testing, although it’ll probably be a while before that one hits the streets… or doesn’t hit the streets, to be precise.
