At The Warner Bros panel at CinemaCon CEO Kevin Tsujihara shared that Ben Affleck is directing The Batman, the upcoming Batman solo film.
Tsujihara offered few details about the movie, mentioning it only as he ticked off the 10 DC Comics movies Warner plans to release over the next five years. He also touted the massive $166.1 million opening weekend for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice , the first movie to feature Affleck as the Caped Crusader.
“It set up a great foundation for our DC slate, which includes at least 10 movies through 2020,” Tsujihara said of the film. “I’m also excited to know that we will be working with Ben Affleck on a stand-alone Batman movie.”
It’s likely that The Batman is one of the unnamed DC films scheduled for 2018.
