Top Grossing Marvel Movies

There have been many movies based on Marvel Comics, with approximately three being released each year. With these movies being inspired by the largest comic book company, it’s no surprise that many have become blockbusters at the box office as well as branching off to successful games available at many mobile casino sites including MobileCasinoAustralia. Let’s take a look at the Top 5 grossing Marvel Films.


The Avengers (2012) $623 million

This movie features numerous super heroes played by a star studded cast including Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, and Chris Evans. In this film, the evil Loki attempts to cause destruction on earth which is of course thwarted by the Avengers.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) $459 million

Again, the Avengers were a hit at the box office with this installment of the series. Iron Man and the Hulk’s attempts to create a peacekeeping program are seriously put in danger by the evil doing of Ultron, depicted by actor James Spader.

Iron Man 3 (2013) $409 million

Robert Downey, Jr stars again in this third installment. In this flick, Mandarin, an evil terrorist successfully begins to obliterate the world. Of course, Iron Man is able to eventually overtake Mandarin and bring peace back to the earth.


Spiderman (2002) $403 million

The first Spiderman release was the top grossing to date. Starring, Tobey Maguire, the film examines how Peter Parker changed into the super hero. Other big names star in the movie including Kirsten Dunst and Willem Dafoe.

Spiderman 2 (2004) $373 million

Again, the role of Spiderman is played by Tobey Maguire as he battles with an evil scientist known as Doctor Otto Octavius. Octavius has four tentacles that serve as additional hands for him.

Without a doubt, there will be additional Marvel films released in the future given the success of these films. As time goes on, will any of these top five Marvel movies be dethroned from the list? Only time can tell.
