Over the decades, Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ Watchmen has been released in a seemingly endless variety of formats. From the original single issue, to trade paperbacks, hardcovers, oversized Absolute and Artist Editions and more, the 12-part series has been reproduced in just about every manner fans could imagine.
Now, fans can buy the story once again in its single-issue format. DC Comics is releasing a box set of all 12 chapters, with each issue presented as a standalone hardcover.
The hardcover box set is scheduled to arrive in stores November 16.
Here is the official solicitation from DC Comics:
“The best selling graphic novel of all time is back in a new, 12-volume box set collector’s edition at DC’s Deluxe Edition trim size, just in time for the series’ 30th anniversary! It all begins with the paranoid delusions of a half-insane hero called Rorschach. But is Rorschach really insane—or has he in fact uncovered a plot to murder super-heroes and, even worse, millions of innocent civilians? On the run from the law, Rorschach reunites with his former teammates in a desperate attempt to save the world and their lives, but what they uncover will shock them to their very core and change the face of the planet!”
The hardcover box set is scheduled to arrive in stores November 16 and will retail for $125.
