Dark Hall Mansion To Release Ferris Bueller’s Day Off Print By Marq Spusta On August 19, 2016

Dark Hall Mansion is pleased to reveal their latest officially licensed limited edition fine art print release for one of their absolute favorite films, the epic,”Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” by leading contemporary artist Marq Spusta and on sale tomorrow, Friday, August 19th!!

Dark Hall Mansion, under license from Paramount Pictures, is pleased to introduce artist Marq Spusta’s take on a film that not only helped define an era but one that continues to speak to and inspire generations in its singular and inimitable tone. The film that gave us all one of the greatest life lessons ever, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it,” is far from light entertainment but a profound and determined meditation on life’s brevity and the need to prioritize that which truly matters. Best summed by Cameron’s resolution, advice that well serves us all, “I am not going to sit on my ass as the events that affect me unfold to determine the course of my life. I’m going to take a stand. I’m going to defend it. Right or wrong, I’m going to defend it,” the film’s writing as brilliant as it is timeless.

Artist Marq Spusta’s print captures the film’s definitive moment of release as we join Ferris, Cameron and Sloane as they make that turn, one specifically and beautifully photographed, as the establishment is refuted, their outrageous day off in Chicago begins, and the very course of their lives forever altered. Marq quietly lays this all out, from the toss of the hat, the curve of the road and its ‘no parking,’ to the excitement of the day and his use of the film’s brilliant quotes ethereally laid in throughout sky and clouds.

With a limited run of only three editions, Blue Sky, Opal printed with metallic inks, and a select Super Gold also printed with metallic ink highlights, all “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” limited editions measure 18″ x 24,” are screen printed, hand numbered, and personally signed by artist Marq Spusta.
