The news comes on the heels of IT, based on the Stephen King story, raking in a whopping $123.1 million at the box office this weekend. “Suffer the Little Children” was first published by Cavalier magazine in 1972, and was then published as part of the collection “Nightmares & Dreamscapes” in 1993.
The short story “Suffer the Little Children” is about a teacher named Emily Sidley who notices the children in her class acting strangely. She realizes that they are not what they seem, and she has to protect the town from something evil.
Sean Carter (Keep Watching) is set to write and direct the film.
