Last night, Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled the company’s second-generation of their Roadster sports car, which Musk said will be “the fastest production car” made. The roadster is capable of going from 0 to 60 MPH in 1.9 seconds, reach speeds of up to 250 MPH, and rock a range of 620 miles.
Tesla states that the vehicle has a 200kWh battery pack and a 620-mile range per charge, or over 1,000 kilometers. The car has three motors (one in the front and two in the rear), all-wheel drive, and torque steering.
The base model of the Roadster will begin at $200,000, and if you want a Founder’s Series vehicle, you’ll have to shell out $250,000. A reservation will set you back $50,000 for the base model.
