You Are A True Stephen King Fan If You Can Spot All of The References In This Inspired Print

Stephen King is having a hell of a year…two novels The Outsider and Elevation are due to hit book stores (wait are there still bookstores?), Castle Rock will be madly binged on Hulu and fans are clamoring to find out who will star in IT – Part 2.

The 70 year old Maine author is unstoppable and has kept his “Constant Readers” awake at night under the covers with a book and flashlight for over 40 years. The prolific author has created memorable characters such as Pennywise, the dancing clown, Christine the vengeful Plymouth Fury, stoic Roland the Gunslinger, deranged Annie Wilkes. These and countless others have appeared in books, film and television.

What if we could have a reunion with all of Stephen King’s characters for a “twisted family photo”?  Well, Los Angeles based artist Jordan Monsell has done one better and created a print entitled “King Country” that features over 170 different King characters, references and easter eggs.

I consider myself a longtime Stephen King fan and I couldn’t get all of the clues. Fortunately Jordan provided a key to help.

Monsell was influenced by the art of Hieronymus Bosch and Pieter Bruegel in creating the highly detailed whimsical image which will be available as 16 x 20 inch prints at Table 97 at Monsterpalooza, taking place April 13-15 at the Pasadena Convention Center in California.  Additional copies will go on sale at a later date.
