Jim Lee Auctioning Sketches To Save Comic Book Shops

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to disrupt daily life around the world, many businesses are suffering, including the comic book industry.

Jim Lee, the legendary artist known for his work on DC’s Justice League, Batman: Hush, and many other iconic stories and characters has decided to help! The DC Comics Chief Creative will draw and post 60 different sketches—one a day over the next two months. He then will be auctioning off the art on eBay with all of the proceeds going to the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (BINC) to support local comic book stores. The high bidder will get to choose the next DC character that Lee will draw for the next sketch and no character will be repeated.

So far, Lee has raised over $100,000 to aid the ailing shops. If you’re in the market for some amazing original art, head over to eBay and place a bid, and follow along with the campaign’s progress on Lee’s Instagram page.
