Here’s A First Look At Cursed – Coming To Netflix Summer 2020

Netflix has released the first-look photos for their upcoming fantasy drama series titled Cursed, giving us a glimpse of Katherine Langford as the woman who is destined to become the Lady of the Lake in King Arthur’s story. The 10-episode series will be available for streaming sometime this summer.

Based on Tom Wheeler and Frank Miller’s New York Times bestselling book, Cursed is a re-imagination of the Arthurian legend, told through the eyes of Nimue, a young woman with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake. After her mother’s death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a humble mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword. Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther. The series is a coming-of-age story whose themes are familiar to our own time: the obliteration of the natural world, religious terror, senseless war, and finding the courage to lead in the face of the impossible.

The series will be led by Golden Globe nominee Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why, Love Simon, Knives Out) as Nimue. It will also feature Devon Terrell as Arthur, Gustaf Skarsgård as Merlin, Daniel Sharman as Weeping Monk, Sebastian Armesto as King Uther Pendragon, Matt Stokoe as Gawain, Lily Newmark as Pym, Shalom Brune-Franklin as Igraine, Emily Coates as Sister Iris, Billy Jenkins as Squirrel, Bella Dayne as Red Spear, and Peter Mullan as Father Carden.

Cursed series is created and executive produced by authors Tom Wheeler and Frank Miller with Wheeler set as the showrunner. It is also produced by Alex Boden with Silenn Thomas serving as an executive producer.
