Disneyland Resort has officially delayed the reopening dates for Disneyland and Disney California Adventure theme parks. According to the official announcement, the State of California will not issue theme park reopening guidelines until after July 4. Because that date is less than two weeks prior to the original proposed reopening date of July 17, Disneyland Resort has made the decision to delay reopening the theme parks so they can do so responsibly. At the time of this announcement, a new reopening date has not yet been announced.
Disney is continuing negotiations with unions that represent Disneyland Resort Cast Members. Downtown Disney will still reopen on July 9.
