Half a century ago, the General Mills company had a genius idea. Create a whole line of breakfast cereals inspired by the horror icons seen in classic Universal Monsters films. The first two out of the gate, and most popular, were Count Chocula and Franken Berry. A year later, the ghostly Boo-Berry and the werewolf Fruit Brute join the line. Finally, Yummy Mummy showed up in the ’80s.
To celebrate their 50th anniversary, all of the General Mills monsters are coming together in one bowl. Sink your fangs into Boo Berry and Franken Berry cereal pieces, plus Count Chocula, Frute Brute and Yummy Mummy marshmallows later this year.
