Van Leeuwen And Kraft Debut Mac And Cheese-Flavored Ice Cream

Kraft and Van Leeuwen have brought together two of life’s greatest pleasures: ice cream and macaroni and cheese.

Kraft has collaborated with Brooklyn’s popular Van Leeuwen for a co-branded product that’s the same buttery yellow-orange color as the warm comfort food. And the taste? Let’s call it savory. More specifically, it’s an incredibly accurate recreation of the original.

“As big fans of Van Leeuwen, we knew they’d be the perfect partner to create this ice cream with us,” Emily Violett, senior associate brand manager at Kraft. “We know that there is nothing more refreshing on a hot summer day than ice cream. That is why we wanted to combine two of the most iconic comfort foods to create an ice cream with the unforgettable flavor of Kraft macaroni and cheese that we all grew up with.”

The flavor will be available online in limited quantities (about 2,500 pints have been produced). It’s also on the menu at the 23 Van Leeuwen scoop shops in New York, Los Angeles and Houston.
