Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler) and Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) have reteamed for a new thriller titled The Guilty, with Gyllenhaal starring and Fuqua directing. The movie is based on the Danish drama Den Skyldige directed by Gustav Moller.
The Guilty takes place over the course of a single morning in a 911 dispatch call center. Call operator Joe Bayler (Gyllenhaal) tries to save a caller in grave danger — but he soon discovers that nothing is at it seems, and facing the truth is the only way out.
The Guilty will screen in select theaters on September 24 and on Netflix October 1.
