Our very first look at the upcoming Batgirl movie has been revealed!
In the Heights breakout star Leslie Grace will take on the iconic role in the production, which is helmed by Bad Boys for Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.
The movie’s suit has not been fully created yet, but the crew was able to share a piece of concept art featuring it. The artwork sees the Commissioner’s daughter posing on a gargoyle attached to a graffitied cathedral tower.
“She will have a cowl,” said the co-directors and she’ll have her characteristic red hair.
Barbara Gordon’s Batgirl character was first introduced in Detective Comics #359 in 1967.
Batgirl will premiere directly on HBO Max; no release date has been announced.
