ABC will be presenting a new installment of Jimmy Kimmel and Norman Lear’s Live in Front of a Studio Audience that will offer reenactments of the classic shows Diff’rent Strokes and The Facts of Life.
The complete cast has been announced and some very famous faces are rounding out a star-studded lineup…
Jennifer Aniston, Gabrielle Union, Allison Tolman, and Kathryn Hahn will be taking on the Facts of Life roles made famous by original stars Lisa Whelchel, Kim Fields, Mindy Cohn, and Nancy McKeon, respectively. Aniston will play the character of Blair Warner, a role that returns her to her sitcom role roots, while Union will play the role of Tootie Ramsey. Tolman will take on the role of Natalie Green and Hahn will play Jo Polniaczek.
All four stars join the previously announced Diff’rent Strokes cast members, which include John Lithgow (Mr. Drummond), Kevin Hart (Arnold), Damon Wayans (Willis), and Ann Dowd (Mrs. Garrett).
Diff’rent Strokes ran for eight seasons from 1978 to 1986. The Facts of Life, a spinoff of Diff’rent Strokes, ran for nine seasons from 1979 to 1988.
Live in Front of a Studio Audience has previously offered reenactments of All in the Family, The Jeffersons and Good Times.
The special will air December 7 at 8 p.m. EST.
