For the first time, Prince and The Revolution’s historic March 30, 1985 Purple Rain Tour performance at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York has been remixed from the original 2″ master reels, and the film has been digitally enhanced onto Blu-ray video.
Prince and The Revolution: Live will be available June 3, 2022, and marks the first time that this historic concert will be available on vinyl (as a 3-LP set) and on CD (as a 2-CD/Blu-ray set).
A limited Collector’s Edition will be available exclusively from the Prince Store, and includes the remixed and remastered audio on 3 colored LPs, 2 CDs, the Blu-ray video, a luxe 44-page book with unseen photos and new stories from The Revolution, and a 24 x 36 poster.
In addition to the physical releases, Prince and The Revolution: Live is also the first Prince release to be made available on streaming platforms in spatial audio.
