Tesla owners in Hollywood will now have something to do while they wait for a charge.
The company will build a 9,300-square-foot two-story drive-in diner and 29-stall Supercharger complex on the current site of Shakey’s Pizza Parlor, 7001 Santa Monica Boulevard.
The first floor will house the kitchen, stool seating, booths, and a bar that wraps around the outside of the building. The second floor will have outdoor seating with another bar, tables, and a theater-type seating area. A carhop area for ’50s-style dining will also be available, with 30-minute short films on display and plans to be open 24 hours a day.
No word on the opening date or menu.
