The LEGO Ideas team has revealed that a Jaws LEGO set will set sail soon.
LEGO Ideas allows fans to develop their own LEGO ideas. If they get enough votes, the designer’s build has a chance to be made into an actual LEGO set.
This go-round, two of the 36 creations reviewed will be converted into sets; the Jaws set is one of them. While the final set is not finished yet, the prototype photos promise some iconic things making its way into the set. Fan Designer Jonny Campbell (aka Diving Faces) created the iconic model and we can’t wait to see the finished product!
The Jaws LEGO set includes the shark, which is just as large as the LEGO Orca — the fishing boat that appears in the film. Three mini-figures will also be included: Chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider), Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss), and Quint (Robert Shaw).
Currently, there’s no release date or pricing information set for the upcoming set. I will post as soon as that info becomes available.
