Coca-Cola Unveils Four New Flavors of Diet Coke

With an updated look, sleek new packaging, and the debut of four bold, new flavors, The Coca-Cola Company is re-energizing and modernizing Diet Coke for a new generation of drinkers – and offering its millions of current fans a new look and more flavors.

The company spoke to more than 10,000 people from across the country to get their ideas and inputs on potential flavor extensions, packaging updates and more. From these insights, Coca-Cola’s R&D team developed and tested more than 30 Diet Coke flavor combinations, featuring tropical, citrus and even botanical notes. Ultimately, Diet Coke landed on four flavors that received the most positive consumer responses.

Ginger Lime, Feisty Cherry, Zesty Blood Orange and Twisted Mango bring more variety to the trademark by complementing the unique, crisp taste of Diet Coke with unexpected-yet-delicious tastes.

Diet Coke and the new flavors will be packaged in sleek 12-oz. cans and sold as on-the-go singles and in eight-packs. Diet Coke also will continue to be offered in all existing package sizes, such as standard 12-oz. cans, mini cans, glass bottles and more. All new packaging and flavors hit store shelves on January 22, 2018.

Pen America To Honor Stephen King On May 22, 2018 For Lifelong Contributions To Literature & Commitment To Free Expression

PEN America will honor legendary suspense writer Stephen King with the 2018 PEN America Literary Service Award at its annual Literary Gala on May 22, 2018 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. PEN America confers the Literary Service Award each year to a critically-acclaimed writer whose body of work helps us understand and interpret the human condition, engendering empathy and imagination in even the darkest hours.

Stephen King is the author of more than 50 books, all of them worldwide best sellers and many—including such classics as It, The Stand, The Dark Tower, Misery, Lisey’s Story, 11/22/63, On Writing, Under the Dome, and many more—providing the basis for major motion pictures and serving as cultural hallmarks for generations. Among his many accolades are the 2003 National Book Foundation Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters and the 2014 National Medal of Arts presented by Barack Obama. His depictions of horror and violence have also earned him a title as one of the most banned or challenged authors in recent decades. King is an impassioned advocate of freedom of expression, literacy, and access to information, which he and his wife Tabitha support through their philanthropy. King’s Haven Foundation also provides unique and generous support to writers and other freelancers in the arts who have suffered personal hardship. His outspoken defense against encroachments on free speech and pointed public criticism of policies that infringe on this and other rights have resulted in his being blocked by President Trump on Twitter.

Scribner will release King’s newest novel, The Outsider, on May 22, the day of the PEN America award presentation.

“No stranger to the dark side, Stephen King has inspired us to stand up to sinister forces through his rich prose, his generous philanthropy, and his outspoken defense of free expression,” said author Andrew Solomon, president of PEN America. “Stephen has fearlessly used his bully pulpit as one of our country’s best-loved writers to speak out about the mounting threats to free expression and democracy that are endemic to our times. His vivid storytelling reaches across boundaries to captivate multitudes of readers, young and old, in this country and worldwide, across the political spectrum. He helps us all to confront our demons—whether a dancing clown or a tweeting president.”

How To Make Your Housewarming Party One To Remember

Moving into your new home is an exciting milestone for you and your family. It’s a chance to make new beginnings and memories together. You’ll also want to show your new abode to your friends and family, and in what better way than a housewarming party?

Make it one to remember by following a few essential tips that are going to help you do it right. It’s best to go all out than it is not to plan and hope for the best. Get ready to roll your sleeves up and work hard to make sure it’s an event worth talking about. Give it your all, but then remember to relax and have fun on the day of the party.

Send out Unique Invitations

Your invitations set the tone for the housewarming party. Instead of doing what everyone else does, create invitations using Adobe Spark’s Free Invitation Maker. They even have the option for you to make a video invitation. A video invitation gives you the flexibility to describe your date with music and narration, giving guests an experience they are sure not to forget. Give your guests a sneak peak of your house and end it with a teaser about having to come to the party to see more.

Secure Enough Food

Whatever you do, make sure there’s enough food. You don’t want to run short and have your guests leave hungry. No matter if you cook or cater, make sure there’s a variety of food options and that there’s plenty to go around. The food is one of the main reasons people go to a party and all they’ll discuss after. Talk through the menu with your spouse and go online to research different ideas and themes.

Get your House in Order

While you’re not expected to have all the details organized after you move in, you do want to have your home looking presentable for the party. Focus on the rooms where your guests will be spending the most time first. Have enough seating and spots for people to mingle. Include candles, décor and small touches that make it look and feel homey. Push your party out far enough in advance that you give yourself enough time to prepare and organize a bit before the big day.

Offer Entertainment

Whether it’s for the kids, adults or both, have entertainment that spices up your party and makes it enjoyable for all. Hire a band, have a bouncy house or play yard games. Make sure there’s music playing in the background and give your guests a few different options for how they can amuse themselves while at the housewarming party. Since it’s a big milestone in your life, it’s worth spending a little extra money to make the party that much more memorable.

Conclusion

Keep in mind all the work that goes into having a housewarming party when you decide to invite people over. Plan and prepare in advance, so you’re not rushing around at the last minute. Enjoy showing off your new home and spending time with your company on the day of the event.
