The Nightmare Before Christmas 25th Anniversary Edition Arrives On Digital and Blu-ray September 2, 2018

Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, the stop-motion animated musical-fantasy following Pumpkin King Jack Skellington’s misguided mission to make Yuletide his own, was hailed as a macabre masterpiece when it debuted in 1993 and holds a 95% critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Twenty-five years later, fans can relive the merry misadventure—and sing or shriek along in brand-new sing-along mode—with the 25th Anniversary Edition of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Viewers can get their spook on instantly via Digital, Movies Anywhere and on Blu-ray Sept. 2.

The new edition audiences to experience The Nightmare Before Christmas two different ways: the original, full-length film, in which the holidays collide with chaotic and comical consequences, and all-new sing-along mode, which includes pop-up lyrics to 11 unforgettable songs like “What’s This” and “This Is Halloween.” The Multi-Screen Edition of The Nightmare Before Christmas includes a Blu-ray and Digital Code giving viewers the flexibility to watch the film on different devices.

But his newfound obsession puts Santa in jeopardy and creates a nightmare for good little boys and girls everywhere. Jack is surrounded by a creepy and captivating cast of characters, including Sally (voice of Catherine O’Hara), a resourceful rag doll that has trouble fitting in, like her good friend Jack; mad scientist Dr. Finklestein (voice of William Hickey); the two-faced Mayor of Halloweentown (voice of Glenn Shadix); Oogie Boogie (voice of Ken Page), a rambling, gambling bag of bugs; and Lock (voice of Paul Reubens), one in a trio of trick-or-treating troublemakers.

Constantine: City of Demons Movie Coming October 9, 2018 To Blu-ray & Digital

From executive producers David S. Gover and Greg Berlanti, The Hellblazer is back in an all-new twisted tale of mystery, intrigue and the occult with Constantine: City of Demons, a full-length, R-rated feature film based on the acclaimed DC animated series from CW Seed. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Blue Ribbon Content and DC Entertainment, the action-packed movie will be distributed by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment starting October 9, 2018 on Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and Digital.

Constantine: City of Demons will be available on Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack ($39.99 SRP) and Blu-ray Combo Pack ($24.98 SRP) as well as on Digital ($19.99 HD, $14.99 SD). The Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack features an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc in 4K with HDR and a Blu-ray disc featuring the film; the Blu-ray Combo Pack features the Blu-ray and DVD. The Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Combo Pack include a digital version of the film.

Constantine: City of Demons is rated R for bloody violence/gore, disturbing images, and some sexual content.

A decade after a tragic mistake, family man Chas and occult detective John Constantine set out to cure Chas’s daughter Trish from a mysterious supernatural coma. With the help of the mysterious Nightmare Nurse, the influential Queen of Angels, and brutal Aztec God Mictlantecuhtli, the pair just might have a chance at outsmarting the demon Beroul to save Trish’s soul. In a world of shadows and dark magic, not everything is what it seems, and there’s always a price to pay. The path to redemption is never easy, and if Constantine is to succeed, he must navigate through the dark urban underbelly of Los Angeles, outwit the most cunning spawns of hell, and come face to face with arch-nemesis Nergal – all while battling his own inner demons!

Constantine: City of Demons has been produced in a dual format – initially as animated shorts, the first five of which appeared on CW Seed. With a runtime of 90 minutes, the feature-length Constantine: City of Demons film has over an hour of never-before-seen content including the film’s thrilling climax.

Doug Murphy (Scooby-Doo and the Gourmet Ghost) directs the film from a script by J.M. DeMatteis (Batman: Bad Blood). Art Direction is courtesy of Phil Bourassa (Young Justice). Butch Lukic (Justice League Action, Batman Unlimited) is the film’s producer. Sam Register and Sarah Schechter also serve as executive producers.

Matt Ryan, who set the standard for the role of Constantine on the NBC live-action television series, returns to the famed trenchcoat in animated form – after reprising the role in both live-action (Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow) series and an animated film (Justice League Dark).

The cast surrounding Ryan includes Damian O’Hare (Hell on Wheels) as Chas Chandler, Laura Bailey (Critical Role) as Trish & Asa The Healer, Emily O’Brien (The Young and the Restless) as Rene Chandler, Kevin Michael Richardson (Family Guy) as Mahonin, Jim Meskimen (Parks and Recreation) as Beroul, Robin Atkin Downes (The Strain) as Nergal, Rachel Kimsey (Justice League Action) as Angela, and Rick Wasserman (Batman: The Killing Joke) as Mictlantecuhtli.

“Fans have responded to John Constantine with an unbridled thirst for his stories – first in the live-action series Constantine, and again with Justice League Dark. Constantine: City of Demons offers Warner Bros. Home Entertainment another opportunity to satisfy the fans’ desire for this character in a fascinating tale that provides even greater insight into his backstory and the situations that helped create his approach to the supernatural,” said Mary Ellen Thomas, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Vice President, Family & Animation Marketing. “We’re especially thrilled to be able to release this full-length feature film focused on fan-favorite Constantine and full of special extras.”

Batman: Hush Animated Movie Leads DC Animation’s 2019 Slate

DC has announced their 2019 slate of animated DC Universe Movies, with an adaptation of the fan favorite 2002 comic run Batman: Hush leading the pack. Also announced were Reign of the Supermen, a direct followup to this week’s release The Death of Superman, as well as Justice League vs. The Fatal Five and a bonus fourth film (there are usually only three per year) in Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, which will ride the coattails of Wonder Woman 1984‘s theatrical release.

Originally a 12-part Batman storyline in the pages of “Batman” #608–619, “Hush” was written by Jeph Loeb (Smallville, Heroes) with art by current DC Chief Creative Officer and co-publisher Jim Lee (“X-Men,” “WildC.A.T.s”). It centers on a mysterious bandaged figure named Hush who is hellbent on sabotaging Batman, and involves nearly all the major Rogues Gallery and Batman Family. It also explored Batman’s romantic relationship with Catwoman and paved the way for the return of Jason Todd. Hush will actually be the third movie of 2019, set for release by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment in the summer.

The second part of the story kicked off with the battle between Superman and Doomsday in The Death of Superman, Reign of the Supermen will be the first animated release of 2019. It follows the aftermath of Superman’s death, and will introduce Steel, Cyborg Superman and Conner Kent. Fans will find Reign of the Supermen teasers in the closing credits of The Death of Superman.

The Justice League returns in spring of 2019 with Justice League vs. The Fatal Five, an original story featuring the group of supercriminals (Tharok, Emerald Empress, Validus, Mano and the Persuader) originally introduced in 1967 and mostly associated with the Legion of Super-Heroes. The Fatal Five originally made an appearance in both the Justice League Unlimited and the Legion of Superheroes animated series.

Wonder Woman will take center stage in an original animated movie called Wonder Woman: Bloodlines for the final film of 2019. Nothing much is known about the project, but it will follow Wonder Woman 1984 which opens on November 1, 2019.
