Check Out The IMAX Poster For Guardians of The Galaxy 2

Marvel Studios has released the official Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 IMAX poster! For the release of the poster, director James Gunn took to Facebook to talk about the film’s use of 3D and IMAX, saying:

“Those who have followed me awhile know that IMAX is the optimal way to view a Guardians movie. I personally oversee the 3D, crafting every shot, and only in IMAX do we shift aspect ratios during big scenes so that you get nearly 30% more screen size than anywhere else. Unlike many other films today where screen size shifts and 3D are afterthoughts, we plan our aspect ratios during the script stage, and every single shot is tailored for 3D as we shoot it. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 is designed to be a fully immersive experience to be seen IN theaters. I’m glad that we’ve been able to partner up with IMAX from the moment of its conception.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 stars Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Michael Rooker as Yondu, Karen Gillan as Nebula, and Sean Gunn as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff, who plays Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki as Aesha, Chris Sullivan as Taserface and Kurt Russell as Ego, the Living Planet.

Set to the backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Directed and written by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is produced by Marvel Studios’ president, Kevin Feige, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Jonathan Schwartz, Nik Korda and Stan Lee serving as executive producers. Opening in theaters on May 5, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be followed by Spider-Man: Homecoming on July 7 and Thor: Ragnarok on November 3. Avengers: Infinity War is scheduled to open on May 4, 2018.

Dark Hall Mansion To Release Gone With The Wind Print By Laurent Durieux On March 24, 2017

Dark Hall Mansion in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, is pleased to release the latest limited edition fine art print in their ongoing DHM Seminal Film Series, their officially licensed “Gone With The Wind” screen prints by leading contemporary artist Laurent Durieux, available Friday, March 24th, at 12:30 PM-PST!

Few words are needed to comment on this 1939 film’s landmark place in cinematic history, Laurent’s piece addresses its varied themes and arc with boldness and subtlety. From his powerful yet emotionally conflicted rendering of Leigh’s expression as Scarlett O’Hara to the provocative visual concept for Scarlett herself as both woman and thematic entity, Laurent’s piece lends itself to charged contemplation. On closeup you’ll find his address of the horrors of war, the destruction of Tara, the famed exit of Clark Gable’s Rhett Butler, as well as more subtle elements throughout such as Ashley’s image in Scarlett’s hand, the inscriptions on varied tombstones and more. Laurent’s piece is at once evocative of original 1930’s vintage movie posters while still very contemporary in approach and personal to the artist’s style and aesthetic.

This limited edition Durieux print release is yet another in DHM’s Seminal Film Series which has included Laurent Durieux contributions for DHM on “Metropolis,” “Phantom of the Opera” and “It’s a Wonderful Life,” all editions have long since sold out.
