Hallmark Has Announced Their 2020 Ornaments

I have been collecting Hallmark Ornaments for many years and a highlight is when the new Dream Book is released. Well, today is that day when Hallmark announces their ornaments for 2020.  While I would like to buy many of the new tree trinkets, I have to keep my hobby in check and usually limit my purchases to 10-11 each year so these are the ones that I have chosen. Which ones did you pick?

HorrorNaments

HorrorNaments are incredibly detailed, precisely sculpted Halloween-themed tree ornaments. Each of the 65+ current HorrorNaments was designed by the owner of The Haunt, West Michigan’s premier haunted attraction.

The idea for HorrorNaments originated in 2011 at a family ornament exchange after the founder’s family struggled to find a Halloween-themed ornament to reflect his success in the haunted house business. HorrorNaments was created to fill that void for the 49.5% of Americans who decorate their homes with Halloween decorations.

Every year, I put up a pop-culture themed Christmas tree and Michael Myers will be added to my growing roster of ornaments.

Hallmark Unveils 2020 Star Trek Ornaments At Star Trek Las Vegas Convention

There were revelations and giveaways aplenty during the brilliantly named “Is There in Truth No Keepsakes? Hallmark and Star Trek” panel on Saturday morning at Star Trek Las Vegas. Hallmark’s licensing creative director Christine Taylor and senior writer Kevin Dilmore provided fans with an exclusive first look at four Star Trek Keepsake Ornaments from Hallmark’s 2020 line. Hallmark is going all out, as 2020 will mark the 30th anniversary of their Star Trek Keepsake Ornaments.

The Star Trek Storytellers Keepsake Ornament Series will launch with Captain Kirk, Security Chief Sulu, and Lt. Uhura as seen in the The Original Series (TOS) episode, “Mirror, Mirror.” Each ornament will feature sound from TOS and bases that light when the characters speak. Further, each character-themed ornament tells its own storylines from the episode, and when connected together to a Keepsake Power Cord, they build to a bigger part of the story, each playing off scenes with one another.

Fans were also wowed by the fourth 2020 ornament revelation. The U.S.S. Enterprise Tree Topper lights up and plays the TOS opening monologue, main theme and closing theme. When it’s paired with the characters in the Storyteller Series, the Tree Topper reacts by building a bigger storyline with coordinating sound effects and lights. Taylor and Dilmore also announced that they should expect additional coordinating Star Trek Storytellers Ornaments in the 2021 collection.
