Premiere Radio Networks has announced the launch of ”The iTunes Download,” a new three-hour weekend countdown show hosted by iTunes Director of Music Programming Alex Luke. In addition to playing a selection of the 30 most downloaded songs from iTunes, the show will feature interviews with high-profile artists, celebrity playlists, and iMixes. President of Premiere Radio Networks Charlie Rahilly said, “Being the first radio company to do a national show with iTunes demonstrates our desire and ability to explore unprecedented ways to reach, entertain and involve listeners.” “The iTunes charts have become the first indicator, each week, of what millions of music fans are buying,” said Luke. “Radio is where more music buyers first hear what they want to buy and iTunes is the place they go to do it—now we’re connecting the two.” “The iTunes Download” will debut this weekend on Top 40 radio stations nationwide, and will air on Saturdays or Sundays.

The story follows the traditional Hal Jordan/Green Lantern story lines to a certain degree including the battle between Legion and Abin Sur, Abin Sur’s crash landing on Earth, as well as the choosing of Hal Jordan over Guy Gardner and Clark Kent.
Parts are straight out of the Emerald Dawn series including Jordan’s simulator being ripped out of the training center and flown to a dying Abin Sur and Hal Jordan going to Oa to help defeat Legion.
The major difference is in the Sinestro character arch. I don’t want to give too much away but the writers were very careful to stay true to the character without blowing their load on the first film.
The other difference is also introducing Hector Hammond into the story line and making him the big threat to Earth or Gaia if you prefer.
Production on Lost‘s fifth season gets underway in 12 days, so that can only mean one thing: Fresh intel is starting to pour in!
Sources confirm that Team Darlton is looking to introduce two new characters this season – and they’re both as mysterious as they are lethal. They’re also coming in as recurring players with an option to become series regulars in season 6.
First up is Caesar, a dangerous, physical and extremely intelligent male between the ages of 35 and 45. Although his intentions are unclear, this much is certain: He’s as skillful at charming people as he is at killing them. He also has a dark past, but, c’mon, that much was a given.
The other newbie is Ilanna, a European female in her late 20s to early 30s who possesses great intelligence, but who’s also dangerous as all get out. She’s alluring and apparently used to getting her own way. (From Entertainment Weekly)
That’s right, it’s a pizza. If you’re flying in or out of Denver International Airport, look out the window and you’ll see a pizza cut into a wheat field near West 128th Avenue and Pena Boulevard. The crop circle, designed by artist Stan Herd, is a promotional vehicle for Papa John’s Pizza.
The third-biggest pizza chain just had to try a little harder to get a slice of the Democratic National Convention pie.
“It’s hard to get in on the election coverage,” says Tish Muldoon, director of public relations for Papa John’s. “It’s a crowded market, and every brand will be chasing their space to promote their product. This was a way to have fun with it. Pizza always brings something to the party.”
The crop circle, which lies below two flight patterns, is about the size of six football fields. The design promotes Papa John’s new whole-wheat-crust pizza made from Colorado wheat and extolling its slogan, “America’s Choice.”
“It’s a play on the DNC, that people get to choose, and it’s what we are (based on customer satisfaction rating),” says Brian Mills, the Colorado Papa John’s franchise owner.
The pizza’s “pepperoni” is made of cedar mulch, with cornstalks standing in for green pepper, black mulch for olives, and flattened wheat stalk for cheese. It will be completed in time for the convention and will remain in place until the first snowfall.

If you’ve been wanting an iPhone 3G but haven’t had any lucking finding one in stock, your waiting might be over. According to Apple’s iPhone 3G inventory tracking tool every Apple store in the US has the new iPhone in stock as of today. As expected, the stock levels normalized once the initial rush ebbed. Sadly, AT&T stores are still filling back orders, so trying to buy one from the carrier could be hit or miss. But if you want one now, you know where to go. (From Gizmodo.com)
