The Middle-Earth 6-Film Limited Collector’s Edition

Fans of Middle-earth will have the opportunity to re-live the entire collection of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings  films, from Academy Award-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson, when the two epic trilogies are released as a single collection on Blu-ray and DVD on November 1st from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (WBHE). From New Line Cinema, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, and WBHE this new collection will be offered as a Limited Collector’s Edition.

The Limited Collector’s Edition includes 30 discs featuring The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, in their extended edition forms housed in six faux leather books and a collectible Hobbit-style wood shelf. In addition, all previously released bonus content from both the theatrical and extended edition releases will be included in the collection. Also included in the collection are premium collectibles including an exclusive 100-page sketch-style book with replica The Red Book of Westmarch,  and two original reproductions of watercolor paintings by acclaimed conceptual artists Alan Lee and John Howe.

The Middle-earth 6-Film Limited Collector’s Edition will be available on November 1 as a 30-disc set for $799.99 SRP . The Limited Collector’s Edition includes all six films on Blu-ray disc in their extended edition forms. Bonus content from The Hobbit trilogy theatrical and extended editions will be included on Blu-ray disc. Bonus content from The Lord of the Rings trilogy theatrical and extended editions will be included on DVD disc. The Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Trilogy features more than 2 hours of extended scenes that were carefully selected under the supervision of director Peter Jackson, and more than 33 hours of theatrical and extended bonus content.  The Hobbit Extended Edition Trilogy features almost one hour of additional footage, also selected by Jackson (The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies extended edition is rated R), and more than 34 hours of theatrical and extended bonus content. Additionally, digital copies of all films in their theatrical and extended edition forms will be included for download on Digital HD.

Disney’s The Jungle Book Arriving On Digital HD August 23 & On Blu-ray August 30

Disney presents the live-action epic adventure The Jungle Book, directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Chef) and produced by Favreau and Brigham Taylor (executive producer of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Tomorrowland), The Jungle Book is a live-action epic adventure based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories, inspired by Disney’s classic 1967 animated film and centered on Mowgli (Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War Arrives On Digital HD September 2 & Blu-ray On September 13

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Slates World Premiere of Batman: The Killing Joke July 22, 2016 At Comic Con International

Continuing a decade-long tradition, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will host the World Premiere of its latest DC Universe Original Movie – this time, the highly anticipated Batman: The Killing Joke – on the Friday night (July 22, 2016) of Comic-Con International in San Diego.

The premiere will spotlight the first public exhibition of the eagerly awaited film and a post-screening panel discussion among available members of the core cast and filmmaking team. The celebrity-laden cast is led by Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League) and Mark Hamill (Batman: The Animated Series, Star Wars franchise) as they reprise their seminal roles as the voices of Batman/Bruce Wayne and The Joker, respectively, as well as Tara Strong (Teen Titans; Batman: Arkham games) as Barbara Gordon and Ray Wise (Twin Peaks, RoboCop) as Commissioner Gordon. Batman: The Killing Joke is directed by Sam Liu (Justice League vs. Teen Titans) from a script by Eisner Award-winning writer Brian Azzarello. Bruce Timm and Sam Register are executive producers. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Available On Digital HD On June 28, 2016 & Blu-ray On July 19, 2016

Warner Bros. Pictures has officially released the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition trailer, showing off new bits of footage from the extended edition of the film.

The theatrical and extended cuts of the film will be available digitally on June 28th and on home media on July 19th.
